TERMINOLOGY
QUIRK: a special ability that exceeds normal human capabilities. These can be unexplained abilities, magic or biology abnormalities. What they all have in common is that they make up for something lacking in the user, such as a missing joint (refer to the boku no hero academia manga).
SKILL/APPLICATION: We will use these two terms interchangeably. They are a way to use a quirk. They are an application of a quirk. We use the terms skill or ability because that it what most other roleplay sites would call them.
CIVILIAN: This is a person that either has no quirk or they do not attend Yuuei or Akuyaku.
NPC: A non-player character. This is a character that only exists for a given plot. On MHA members are allowed to place accounts into the 'NPC' membergroup without staff having to do anything.
SUPER SUIT: Every hero and villain will eventually get a costume. These are basically worn billboards that tell everyone looking at them that 'I am soandsuch!' There are various companies that produce these suits, and some heroes/villains spend years finding a company and design that fits them.
ALIAS: While the names of many heroes and villains are well-known, that does not stop them from picking up an Alias. This is the name they want to be known by. It is usually chosen while they are in school, but even so, it will stick with them throughout their life time.
SPECIAL TRAIT: Special traits are things that might be handed out during events. More will be said of these later.
More terms will be added as needed.
